Disturbed New York City (NYPD) cop Lacy (Don Murray) rescues Sally (Diahn Williams), a beautiful cellist, from deranged crook Rabbit (James Earl Jones). By shooting Rabbit in cold blood, Lacy sets off a spark of publicity that brands him the city’s hero. Also with Treat Williams, Beverly Johnson, Danny DeVito and Debbie Harry (uncredited).
