Mad Dog Morgan (1976)

Irish arrival Dan Morgan (Dennis Hopper) witnesses the bloody massacre of Chinese on the goldfields of Australia and turns into a robber. He is arrested and sent to prison for six years where he is tormented and raped by guards. He is let out on parole and becomes a bushranger, befriending an aboriginal, Billy (David Gulpilil). Morgan then fights against the vicious Superintendent Cobham (Frank Thring). Also stars Jack Thompson.
