Bigfoot (1970)

$19.99

aka’s: Big Foot/King Kong’s Son

Has a 150-year-old legend come true? It would seem that America's Abominable Snowman breeds with anything! A family of five Bigfoots kidnap two women (in bikinis) and tie them to some trees. Later, a group of local bikers decide to go on a rescue mission to save them. Stars John Carradine, Joi Lansing, Judy Jordan and John Mitchum. Also with James Craig, Christopher Mitchum, Ken Maynard, Jennifer Bishop and John Stellar, as Bigfoot.

This film was to be Joi Lansing’s last screen appearance. Sadly, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and died on August 7, 1972, in Santa Monica, California. She was 43.

TRIVIA: This film is the first motion picture to feature Bigfoot, it spawned several similar films throughout the 1970’s and beyond. It was released in 1970, three years after the infamous Patterson-Gimlin short film, which supposedly revealed “actual” footage of what was said to have been a real Bigfoot, walking through the forests of California in 1967. Although that film, along with several others, have since been proven to be hoaxes.
