City Across The River (1949)

Brooklyn youth Frank Cusack (Peter Fernandez), good son and brother by day, is a gang member by night. The Dukes, seemingly likable dead-end-kids, are dangerously involved with racketeer Gaggsy Steens (Richard Benedict). Despite the efforts of Franks's parents (Thelma Ritter and Luis Van Rooten), he and pal Benny (Al Ramsen) get involved in a serious crime. Can Stan Albert (Stephen McNally), head of the community center, prevent them from becoming full-time crooks? Also with Tony Curtis, Frank Cady and Richard Jaeckel (of The Green Slime fame).
