La Riffa (1991)

Francesca (Monica Bellucci), a well-to-do lady of a southern Italian city, is a widow with a daughter and a tide of debts. The friends of her husband offer aid to her – but in exchange they want her to become their lover. Francesca decides this proposition would help her situation and along with a lawyer acquaintance, organizes a lottery where every player has to deposit a substantial sum. The winner will cohabit with her for four years. There are no shortage of participants, but they will remain disappointed to the end. Also stars Giulio Scarpati and Massimo Ghini.
