A writer (Pierre Clémenti) returns home from World War I. He has developed a very bad case of post traumatic stress disorder. He contemplates suicide, but becomes interested in the 12-year-old niece (Katya Berger) of the innkeeper at the place where he is recuperating. The innkeeper doesn't seem to mind that he is spending so much time with his niece. He becomes deeply infatuated with her, but can't physically consummate any kind of relationship with her. She brightens his day, but her sexuality is just beginning to blossom. She later begins to prefer a male carnival worker who is closer to her age, over the writer, with disastrous results. Also with Ugo Bologna, Michele Soavi and Bárbara Rey. (In Italian language, with English subtitles). In widescreen format.

French actor Pierre Clémenti was arrested in Rome for possession of LSD and cocaine in 1972. He spent 17 months in prison before being acquitted by an appeals court and released. He later authored a book about his time in prison. Clémenti died on December 27, 1999, from liver cancer. He was 57.
