Our Girl Friday (1953)

Rich Sadie Patch (Joan Collins) is marooned on a desert island after an emergency on her cruise-ship. With her are Irish stoker Pat (Kenneth More), prickly young Jimmy Carrol (George Cole) and bald and bookish Professor Gibble (Robertson Hare). The three men reach agreement that none shall become romantically involved with their lone female companion, but Jimmy and the Professor endeavor to woo her in vain. Sadie only has eyes for Pat the hard-drinking Irishman, but her affection isn’t reciprocated. Also with Peter Sellers (uncredited), who voices a parrot.
