When a schoolgirl is attacked and raped in the woods near her school, Detective Chief Supt. Velyan (Frank Finlay) leads the hunt for the attacker with the help of some psychological profiling from Doctor Greg Lomax (Jamie Laurenson). When a second girl is attacked and then murdered, teacher Julie West (Suzy Kendall) is the only eyewitness. She decides to put her own life at risk by attempting to lure the attacker.
