Humanoid, The (1979)
aka: El Humanoide
Hoping to overthrow his brother as ruler of the planet Metropolis, the evil Graal (Ivan Rassimov) enlists the help of the insane Dr. Kraspin (Arthur Kennedy), who has invented a chemical capable of turning an ordinary person into a perfect soldier. They test this chemical on the pilot Golob (Richard “Jaws” Kiel), turning the unsuspecting victim into a mindless, but indestructible automaton possessing superhuman strength. The people of Metropolis must now outwit Graal before he can create an army of these soldiers, or their planet will be destroyed. Also stars Corinne Clery and Barbara Bach.
This film was never released in the U.S. due to several similarities to some of the characters in the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977).
